Aw, fuck it
I've given up on Ubuntu Linux for now. No matter what I do, the title bars, control buttons, and frames of the windows disappear shortly after I enable Compiz Fusion. I've seen all of the suggested fixes for this, and none of them work.
So, with that, I'm trying Fedora 7 in the hopes that their build of Gnome is either to old to have whatever bug is causing this, or new enough that said bug is fixed.
I have, however, not had the best luck with this distro of Linux either. I've managed to hard hang this supposedly ultra stable system not one, not twice, but thrice (that's 'three times' for those of you who don't know what that means and have no desire to investigate). How, you may ask?
Well, admittedly, it's my fault. I was taxing the system far too much. I should not have expected the system to function properly while running Auto Update ('pup', I guess...) and Firefox simultaneously. I mean, really. In what circumstance would anyone in the real world be running multiple apps at the same time.
This is obviously user error.
You know - the more I use Linux, the better Windows looks.
And OSX is still pretty.
