Roast Beast
And so, here I am in my apartment in downtown Seattle.
Let's just get this out of the way.
My main computer broke during the move, and I'm significantly pissed off about it. The USB ports would no longer recognize any devices plugged into them, and I didn't feel like dealing with HP support, who would tell me to reboot, check for updates, and then call Microsoft for support because they weren't capable of understanding that it's a hardware issue and not a software one.
And I know it's not a software issue because I tried three different OSes.
So I started building a new machine with pieces of the old one. New case, new motherboard. :: burning smell :: new power supply.
I still don't have it working, and I'm seriously getting close to the point where I don't really care anymore.
I've got another computer that has TV tuners in it that I can use for Media Center in the mean time. I think I'll get that going some time next week, and I'll bring this one into work to play around with.

But back to my place. I love it down here. The commute sucks, it's loud at night, there's a hospital down the street, and nothing in the neighborhood stays open late enough for me to experiment with any local business - but I still love it.
I look out the window and I see these amazingly tall buildings. I'm still in awe.
I'm making progress on getting things unpacked and getting things cleaned up. The place is still kind of a mess right now, but I'm determined not to get into the situation I was at my last place, so I'm really trying to get things taken care of.

Work is stressing me the fuck out. I desperately need a vacation, and so I'm going to take one. I'm taking off this Friday and next Monday and I'm going to just relax and try to relieve some pressure that I've had building up for a while now.
I can't wait.
