A pointless exercise
I have recently become obsessed with what is essentially a pointless project. I am currently ripping all of my DVDs to WMV files so that I can access them all with the click of a button on my Media Center Extender.
Actually, my motivation is deeper than laziness. I'm fully planning on getting a new TV with my tax return, and I'm planning on making it a nice LCD or Plasma screen that I can mount above my fireplace. If I do that, I'll have no reason at all to keep the entertainment center that I currently own. Now, this entertainment center takes up a great deal of space in my living room, so if I can get rid of that too, all the better. And if I don't have to buy a new place to store my DVDs, then ... uh... whatever's better than "all the better."
So I'm ripping these bastards.
