WHY is there BACON in the SOAP!?!
It's been a pretty awesome week/weekend combination, if I do say so myself. Though, it had nothing to do with bacon or soap, or any sort of mutant, half-breed, love child that would result from the mixture of the two. I just liked the title.
I spent a very large volume of time (time is measured by volume, right?) with a lovely young woman named Holly this week. I've actually known Holly for a few weeks now, but this week was different. She came over a few nights this week, and we watched movies. Saturday morning, I IM'd her, and informed her that she needed to get showered and dressed because I needed pants, and she was going to go shopping for them with me. She tried the usual bits: I'm too tired, I just woke up; I haven't showered yet; it'll take me too long to get ready; I'm sick with the birdflu; I'm covered in bees.
None of them worked, and I went to pick her up. We spent a very short bit of time at the mall, as was our intention. It appears that we both hate shopping. Yay! So, we went to go finds me some pants. Holly helped pick out a few pair that she said looked really good. (size 36, by the way. I haven't worn 36 since... hell, I don't even know the last time I was able to squeeze my ass into a pair of 36 pants. Damn, I'm hot!) So, I bought them. Then we had lunch at Cheesecake Factory, and went for a walk in a park in downtown Bellevue.
Fast forward to tonight. I made dinner for her tonight. I made Citrus Grilled Chicken, steamed peapods, and biscuits, followed immediately with cookies. And it was fanfuggingtastic if I do say so myself. After dinner, she showed me her open-diary, and some of the poetry she'd written in the past. She's a wonderful writer, and some of her poetry really got to me.
Later on, we cuddled on the couch, where she eventually fell asleep on my chest. I just wanted to keep her there forever, but - as you may have guessed - that didn't happen.
Ah well - there's always next time.
